The Inner Compass Therapist
Helping You Find Your Inner Compass
We are all looking for love and connection. It is a primal need we all share. Due to our family and cultural history, it may be hard to love ourselves and we don't believe we are worthy of another's love. We may push others away or not put ourselves out there to receive love. We do this to also prevent being rejected. Yet, we seek love. It becomes a vicious cycle. How can you be loved if you don't let yourself be seen? The first, and hardest, place to start is loving ourselves. Loving our imperfections, recognizing and honoring our deep need for connection. Louise Hay offered this daily practice: Looking at ourselves in the mirror and say "I love myself exactly the way I am". This is a hard practice but it can be done. As you make the journey to loving yourself, do not hesitate to contact me to discuss how I can support you with this journey. Photo by Kal Visuals on Unsplash Comments are closed.
